Zhejiang Zhonggang Steel was learned that the Iranian Iron and Steel Industry Association (ISPA) released data on the Chilan website showed that Iranian billet exports were flat at 1.55 million tons in the six months to September 22, but slab exports fell by 23% to 124. 10,000 tons, direct reduced iron exports fell 8% to 374,000 tons.
However, exports of finished steel products soared by 138% to 1.37 million tons. Among them, straight threaded steel accounted for 357,000 tons, pan screw accounted for 280,000 tons, hot rolled coils of 3mm or more accounted for 265,000 tons, and hot rolled coils of 3mm or less accounted for 161,000 tons.
Imports of finished steel products fell by 47% to 546,000 tons during the same period. Among them, CRC and coated coils accounted for 174,000 tons and 153,000 tons respectively. Hot rolled coils below 3mm account for 128,000 tons.
Apparent consumption of billet and slabs increased by 31% and 34% respectively to 5.25 million tons and 4.37 million tons. Direct reduced iron consumption increased by 20% to 12.48 million tons.
Apparent consumption of finished steel products fell by 3% to 9.87 million tons. Among them, hot rolled coils accounted for 3.93 million tons, rebar accounted for 3.05 million tons, cold rolled coils accounted for 1.41 million tons, and coated sheets accounted for 922,000 tons.
During the same period, the output of semi-finished products increased by 19% to 12.46 million tons. Among them, billet accounts for 6.8 million tons and slabs account for 5.61 million tons.
Finished steel production increased by 10% to 10.69 million tons. HRC production increased by 12% to 4.21 million tons, and rebar production increased by 19% to 3.67 million tons. Cold rolled coil production increased by 4% to 1.25 million tons, but coated sheet production fell 8% to 714,000 tons, and profile production fell 2% to 450,000 tons.Direct reduced iron production increased by 19% to 13 million tons.
